The Lott Chermside needed a dynamic and eye-catching multi-screen creative and messaging that would attract attention in a very busy and cluttered newsagency environment. The message was simple: promoting tonight’s draw and the highest jackpot amount. Beyond this, the creative needed to get people to take action, reduce the barrier to purchase and do so from confines of the multi-screen point of sale display.
Ripe's Approach
Ripe needed to promote Lotto, Oz Lotto, Powerball, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries and winning stories. The challenge was to keep these brands working together while remaining relevant to less regular lottery purchasers who were not being triggered by current messaging. We created an overall approach that clearly highlighted the location as a place where you had the chance to win ALL these lottery games. We used key brand and jackpot messages that could easily be modified and updated for each brand on a daily basis to trigger customers to act.
Through our strategy, design and execution, Ripe ensured that strong brand positioning came to life with each execution, so the brand equity for each game was still being leveraged. Rather than adding to the clutter, we cut through the noise with bold colours and clear messaging with an attractive and exciting a sense of celebration.
